If you remember the Austrialian pop-band INXS then you will undoubtedly know their charismatic front-man Michael Hutchence.
Born on January 22 1960, Michael’s life sadly ended on November 22 1997.
He was the epitemy of cool on and off stage. Quiet, intense and charismatic. Dudes liked him, women loved him and I suspect even animals had serious respect for his coolness.
The Contraversy:
There are two thoughts on his death, 1) it was suicide 2) it was an accident. I prefer to view it is an accident. He was into the erotic asphyxiation thing and this fan as well as his family believe this was the true cause of death.
Regardless, his on and off stage presence which was eerily reminiscent of the late, great Jim Morrisson.
Why didn’t Jim Morrison make our #1 pick – simple, his use of drugs, alcohol, mental abuse towards loved ones and sometimes vulgar antics put him too far over the edge to be truly cool.

So, who is Nicolas Sarkozy and why do we think he’s cool?
Firstly, he’s the President of France, although his name would make one beleive he front’s an eastern european nation… Russia comes to mind.
Mr. Sarkozy assumed leadership of France on May 16, 2007 and has had some notariety siince then. Most of this comes from his much publicized marriage to former super-model Carla Bruni.

The coolest musician this year without a doubt is Travis Barker.
Not only is this guy is a great drummer and musician… but he had the stones to survive a horrific jet crash, had the strength and composure, when seriously injured and on fire to help out the other badly injured survivor.
In addition to his fantastic drumming ability, he’s been a very successful entrepreneur who has a number of business ventures including a clothing company.
Tough, cool headed under pressure and potential death and very talented to… way friggen COOL!
